Description/Profile/About

The mission of our international organization is to provide the highest quality resources for education in the fundamentals, details and outlook of the Seven Universal (or Noahide) Commandments. Collectively, these are known as the Noahide Code. Through our web site AskNoah.org and our landmark publications by expert Torah scholars, we encourage faithful observance of the Seven Commandments among all the Children of Noah (all Gentiles). These precepts are the true foundation for a righteous and just society. They are the key to a world in which all people will be excelling in goodness and kindness, and free from any forms of bigotry or racism.
We gratefully welcome the modern-day religious tolerance and trend to greater freedom in many countries. This gives us the opportunity to help individuals, families and communities around the world to learn about the timeless but ever-relevant Noahide path.
By learning and observing these basic commandments as they are rooted in the Book of Genesis and expounded in the Torah tradition, every person can make an increasingly personal connection with the Creator and His unbounded goodness.

What would you do to change the world?

The Noahide Code commands the establishment of courts of justice and prohibits idolatry, blasphemy, homicide, incestuous relations, theft, and eating meat taken from a live animal (cruelty to animals). By providing education about the Noahide Code and more channels for fellowship between communities that are living by its values, more people and more nations will accept that we are all united and bound by a common moral responsibility to our Creator. The peace and cooperation that result from this will accelerate the healing of our fractured world at all levels.

Ask Noah International
Welcome to Ask Noah International
Guiding individuals, communities, and the world to the
Seven Universal Noahide Commandments for All Mankind
Recognized and Praised by Major Government Leaders
The Noahide (or Noachide) Code of 7 Divine Commandments was given to Noah and his children after the flood. These commandments would assure Noah and his children, the pioneers of the new human race, that humanity would not degenerate into a jungle again. The laws prohibit (1) idolatry, (2) blasphemy, (3) homicide, (4) forbidden relations, (5) robbery, and (6) eating meat that was taken from a still-living animal (cruelty to animals), and require (7) establishment of courts of justice. The precepts included in these commandments provide the guidelines for truly moral behavior, as the Divine Code that is the foundation of all true morality.
We are dedicated to teaching about these commandments in the light of Torah, with insights on the nature of creation, and our important roles as individuals and community members. When we fulfill our potential within the context of this Divine covenant, the creation is elevated to reach its intended goal. This makes the world into a beautiful gem – a place where G-d can (and will) dwell!
You can be a beacon of light to dispel the darkness.
Learn, live, and reach out to others with acts of goodness and kindness.

OUR MISSION
Our mission is to provide the highest quality resources for religious education in the fundamentals, the details, the outlook, and the practical observance of the eternal Seven Noahide Commandments, which G-d gave through Noah. Collectively, these dimensions of Divine service for Gentiles are known as the Noahide Code. We encourage the observance of the Seven Commandments among all Gentiles, and this Divine code is the true basis of a righteous and just society.
Growing numbers of Noahide congregations around the world are affiliating with Ask Noah International, like these in the Philippines.
We gratefully welcome the modern-day religious tolerance and trend to greater freedom in many countries, which gives us the opportunity to help individuals, families and communities around the world to learn about the Noahide path. For it is by learning and observing these Divine commandments, which were renewed by transmission to Moses from G-d at Mount Sinai, that you will make an increasingly personal connection with G-d and His unbounded goodness.
!
Thus, our goal and our mission is that all humankind will be openly connected by a common moral responsibility to our Creator. This unity promotes peace and harmony among all people, with all doing their part to achieve the ultimate good: “the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of G-d as water covering the sea bed” (Isaiah 11:9).
Dr. Michael Schulman
Executive Director
Dr. Michael Schulman, Executive Director of Ask Noah International and Asknoah.org, answers questions and provides guidance about the Torah's 7 Noahide Commandments for Gentiles of all nations and cultures. Ask Noah’s projects include the publication of a multi-lingual “Shulchan Aruch” (comprehensive codification) for the Torah’s Noahide Code. With the sponsorship of Ask Noah, this was compiled by Rabbi Moshe Weiner of Jerusalem – titled “Sheva Mitzvot HaShem” (Hebrew edition) and “The Divine Code” (English edition). Parts have been published in Spanish, and Russian is in progress.
LETTER FROM RABBI J. IMMANUEL SCHOCHET o.b.m., Toronto, Canada, Sep. 20'06:
http://asknoah.org/wp-content/uploads/letter-RabbiSchochet.pdf
The world has undergone a fascinating revolution. For approximately three decades there has been an ever-growing interest in the Sheva Mitzvot B’nei Noach, the “Seven Commandments for the Children of Noaĥ,” revealed in the Torah of Moses. A great number of Gentiles throughout the world have committed themselves to observe this universal “Noahide Code.” ...The search for clear information and guidance, however, is hampered by the lack of precise summaries of a Code for the Noahides. Thus, it is a tremendous merit for the organization Ask Noah International, directed by truly pious and responsible Jews, to be inspired to fill this vacuum... this is an extremely sensitive undertaking charged with great responsibilities. Thus, Rabbi Weiner’s work, sefer "Sheva Mitzvot HaShem," was submitted for review by the world-renowned Rabbinical authority Ha’Ga’on Rabbi Zalman Nehemiah Goldberg (may he live for many long and good days), member of the Supreme Rabbinical Court of Israel, who graciously examined the text, adding numerous comments throughout, and granted his approbation.
All the scholars consulted have praised this work as a major achievement, which brings an important but neglected area of Torah to the forefront of Rabbinic attention... it is yet more important to make all people aware of it, in concise and easily readable format, as an authoritative guide for their daily lives... the English version of the sefer "Sheva Mitzvot HaShem"... is now serving as the basis for translation into other languages.
Immeasurably great is the merit of all those who are involved with, and supporting, this extra-ordinary endeavor, which no doubt will hasten the fulfillment of the prophetic vision of “the earth will be as filled with knowledge of God as water covering the sea bed” (Isaiah 11:9).
