Bright Kids Uganda (USA)
In 2010 Bright Kids Uganda Foundation, U.S.A,was formed as a way to support the efforts of Victoria Nalongo the director of Bright Kids Uganda orphanage in Entebbe, Uganda. The foundation began after the Director of Bright Kids Uganda Foundation, U.S.A, Prof. Brooke White, visited the orphanage in 2009. White had been working with Bright Kids Uganda for five years helping with grant writing and fundraising in the U.S. After White’s visit to the orphanage in 2009 she was so moved by the children and the work being done at the orphanage that she decided to start a non-profit that would support the mission set forth by Victoria Nalongo at Bright Kids Uganda. Since 2009 Bright Kids Uganda Foundation, U.S.A has raised money to send children to school, sent two interns from the University of Pittsburgh to the orphanage to help with specific projects and we are committed to raising funds that will help each child attend school on a regular basis. Our ultimate goal is to make sure each child is sponsored. BKU is a 501 (c) (3): ID number 31546
